In 1974, my father Jim and I started John’s Auto Sales. Prior to becoming a dealership, the location was my father’s gas station, known as J&K Gulf. During the oil crisis of the early 1970s there was a severe gas shortage. At the time I was only 17 years old, and I told my father that I wanted to start selling cars. I would accompany customers on test rides and listen to any concerns on the performance of the vehicle and address any and all issues while assuring complete satisfaction and happiness with their purchase. 40 years later I am still here at the same location at 181 Somerville Avenue, now with my son Jimmy, still tending to my customers with the same respect they have given me over the years. My hopes and desires are that I remain healthy, and to enjoy my life buying and selling cars while continuing to make others happy. Our commitment has been proven for over 40 years.
